Tiznados en centro de Tepoztlan!

As we’re exploring more and more about Tepoztlan, we’ve also joined the festivities of the San Sebastian neighborhood. Like in Santissima (previous blog) they celebrate their saint’s birthday with a market and a “castillo” (wooden structure with fireworks). The fireworks show in this neighborhood is the biggest in town and it was awesome, we were definitely impressed! Choco (one of the ‘outside’ workers at Tashirat) took us to a friend to have dinner (remember: people open op their houses for everyone, serving them food and drinks). The next day was the final party, in the centre this time: The “Tiznados”. To not differentiate between good and bad, and between people from San Sebastian and other neighborhoods, put soot on their faces
